Think The Vagina Monologues but of the dating-war-stories variety...
THE HOOK-UP CONVERSATIONS is a collection of 12, five-minute monologues about the sometimes-hysterical, sometimes heart-breaking issues surrounding dating, hooking up, and breaking up as a 20 to 30-something in Manhattan. Pieces will be performed as a staged-reading by a mix of male and female, gay and straight New York talent. Convo titles include:
- Erica’s make-out diet - one girl's solution to her late-night eating Goliath
- Who's the crazy one here? - apparently being up-front with a girl is the wrong approach
- Did you hear about Grace? - confess your decade-long love for your male best friend and people will talk
- Grace - that confession...
- Karma's a bitch - a bitch named Hoboken
- And much more - 6, specifically
This year why not spend Valentine's Day laughing, crying, and drinking to other people's dating mistakes.
And by other people's, I mean mine.
Don't live in New York? We'll miss you, but feel free to pass this invite along to anyone you've ever met that does. And then, move here.
